have you checked your thermostat? if it is stuck closed you wont get any hot fluid to your heater

then you have a blockage somewhere that is not letting enough coolant through the firewall. this could also mean your motor isnt running the amount of coolant that it should(which is nothing to shrug at) if you havnt replaced all the hoses I would go ahead and do that, if that still doenst work try taking it down to the local garage and having the cooling system flushed.

Ryan - have you checked the cable for the hot/cold selector? Maybe it stretched or frayed and isn't switching. What about an air pocket?

Also, you drive a vert, its gonna be cold in the winter...so regardless is should be fixed. My 89 has a 180 stat, alum. rad and a slight draft from the top being installed incorrectly by the PO. It's cold, takes forever to get piss warm heat in December, hell I even unhooked the trigger for my electric fan.

You couldn't pay me to drive mine in the snow or ice, hell rain is bad enough somedays with the roads around here in northern ohio.

Didja' have to cut, bend, fold, spindle, or mutilate the heater box to get the old core out?

I still think it's a blend door actuator problem. Do you hear/see anything moving when you slide the temp selector over from cold to hot and back? If not, the door might be stuck - bad actuator, or there's a vacuum leak somewhere.

The lights being off is likely a bad/missing ground wire, somewhere...

so....the selector from cold/hot feels very iffey..when i bought the car it was stuck on cold i yanked and yakned till it broke/snaped free..i checked the cable on the back and it still moves back and fourth but i think i may have snapped the cable at the other end? or a combonation of both?...where is the blend door located? can i check this without pulling the dash again?
