I just bought my 02 S81 wth only 17k miles and the front tires are done!!!! There is plenty of tread left but the inside wore out really bad. THe braded steel is poking out on the driverside tire. How did the car get so far out of alignment? Do I need a set of caster camber plates?

First thing a Saleen needs is a good alignment. with the way the toe is set from the factory the stock fronts will be toast in 15-20k miles.

Oh yeah you'll need some. My tires were F'ed up after 14K. A good alignment shop should be able to do the rest. I had to get some weird bolts for the lower front struts to get more out of it. The alignments from Saleen aren't the best on tires, but damn does it handle. Also buy a bumpsteer kit while your getting the alignment.
