This time around though it'll be to get another coupe

I talked to a guy today and went over and checked this car out. He's interested in trading for my '98 Cherokee but he's gonna think on it and call me. If the deal goes through then i've gotta pick between the two because i'd need to sell one to buy another DD for my better half, and this car is a serious no BS coupe... It's an '89 coupe with a 12.5:1 compression 393 stroker with all the goodies (carbed of course, all forged/balanced/blue printed internals, aluminum heads etc) and makes 500hp at the flywheel on retarded timing and 93 octane. It's got full tubular suspension front and back with coilovers in the front, a Z rated T5 (which will probably get swapped out with my tremec)...you name it it's got it. With race gas it should be a solid 10 second car with ease and it's easily streetable. I took a ride in it today and i've gotta say it's the 2nd nastiest car i've ever ridden in, second to a 711hp Nova that a buddy of mine has. This car will blow the tires apart from a 40mph roll in 3rd gear and it's got 275/60 Toyo Proxies on the back.

I dunno though, i LOVE my coupe. It's really a hard choice to make. I've already weighted out ideas like swapping engines and all that, and even parting out the goodies on my SSP and selling the car to an SSP collector, which would really make me happy if it ended up being restored to service condition. In the end this car is really just a bunch of awesome parts wrapped around a typical 4 cylinder coupe, but it's one hell of a sweet parts bin!

So what would y'all do? One BIG problem for me is that i live in a god forsaken apartment, so doing an engine swap is a big deal for me. If i had a 2 car garage i wouldn't hesitate...i'd just swap the entire drive train into my SSP and visa versa and then sell/trade the '89 for a DD, but that's probably not an option.

It actually looks like crap but he said it's getting paint this week. It's also got a new Cervinis 4 inch cowl hood. The parts list on this thing is like right out of a catalog and pretty much the best of everything. I've already got my hopes up but my gut is telling me he won't bite

Well one thing is for sure, if it does get sold, the Pacecar nose is coming off and the stocker is going on

In other related news i'm working on a custom wiring harness for the engine bay....and when it's done, you won't be able to see ANY wires at all....

If it were to come up for sale, I could be interested.
