Today I finally got around to tearing apart my old N/A block. I had to determine if i was good enough to keep, or take it to the recycler. Well, it didn't take me long to decide it was not worth keeping around. Hehe.. it ain't the prettiest thing.. http://www.binaryweb.com/88lx/temp/

(Today I hauled 290lbs of various cast iron parts to the recyclers.. they pay by weight. Where's a stock N/A exhaust manifold when you need one? :rlaugh:)

Yeah.. I was hoping the block would be good and not have to be bored, but when I saw that, I just decided to chuck it. I wanted a spare block to slowly build into my next turbo block. The odometer had about 74K on it when that engine was pulled. I don't know if it's just 74 or 174. The previous owner, Bill (wish), didn't know either. I would about have to lean toward the 174 theory based on it's shape. However, the owner before Bill rode this car hard and put it up wet, so who knows. This car has been muddin' in it's past, and some body parts in odd places are bent, etc. There's a few weird things here that make me go hmmmm.
