SO what do you use on all your black exterior trim??

Been on a detailing craze with clay bars and different waxes. I have my car shining so much you need sunglasses to look at it, but what do you guys use on all the flat black trim??


I'm mainly talking about Mach 1 chin spoilers and deletes, the windshield trim near the wipers and the side mirrors??

Any product that will make them nice and black without really a greasy residue??

Right now I'm using Black Magic Tire Shine because I'm too lazy to get the 303 Protectant.

just use some spray wax with silicone in it. then you dont have to worry about the rain washing it off onto the paint. OR you could just paint all the pieces like i did to the body color

don't mean to jack the thread but what do you guys use for tire shine? eveything i have tried sligs up onto my paint and blotches it. i hate having to wipe down a freshly detailed car after taking it out for a 5 minute spin. to add, i have to spray wax it to get the tire shine off. otherwise it streaks my paint

I use meguiars Hot Shine Tire Spray.


I spray it onto those little yellow/black applicators you find at AZ and then wipe it onto the tire. I also let it dry for maybe 10-15 mins before taking the car for a spin.

Unless i drive through some puddles, it stays on the tires pretty much.

Back to Black ftw. but the shine doesnt last long. i only use it when i know im going somewhere where my car will be looked at.

for tire shine i use some spray on tire cleaner from ArmorAll (got some gift pack for christmas) and follow up with Meguiars NXT hot shine after theyre dry.

Eagle 1 Tire shine is the nest IMO...i have tried EVERY tire shine known to man...and eagle 1 just looks the best.

+100 on that. I put on the Eagle 1, clean the rims, then wax the car. By the time I am done, it's dry enough to not sling. I also spray it on the tire, and wipe it down with a rag.

Generally I use 303 Aerospace Protectant. However, if I get wax stains on it I will use Back to Black.

Well, i went and got some Back-to-Black and i'll give it a try.


I also picked up some Meguiars PlastX. It's plastic cleaner and polish. I figure i try it out on my headlights and get some of those fine scratches out.
