So what's going on guys and gals? My computer crapped out about two weeks ago so i've been going into internet withdrawl. Anybody doing anything with their cars this summer, ie new parts and such? I should be ordering my VT stroked, forged 5.0 short block this week. Hopefully it will add some power. Mostly can't wait til I can get the blower on and don't have to worry about the bottom end going KABOOM! That will have to wait for next year though.

Yipes!!! Them's some pretty serious mods there Tweeked!!!!!
Woowee!!!!

I bought a few things for the Stang:
NX plate 150 shot
Maximizer progressive controller
Fp safety switch
Remote bottle opener
Bottle heater
Purge kit
Nitto 555R's
I think I've got it set up not bad now, with the 100 shot. It took a fair bit of playing around to figure out how to hide everything . I also found an extra set of rims to mount the tires on so I can just switch them out at the track.[if I can only figure out how to get them in the trunk ] I haven't broke anything yet so I guess all is well.

Hole Shnikeys! That things gonna haul. Nice work! . I'm still nervous about nitrous, I don't know why. I guess I've never used it or been in a nitrous fed car so I'm a little weary about getting it for myself and not knowing how to operate it properly.

Ya , I was a little nervous too, so I figured I'd get all the safety stuff, as well as the progressive controller, it's rather cool. I can set the amount of nitrous being fed in any gear at any selected rpm. First test I had some rather nasty wheel spin, so I kept dialing back the amount of nitrous in 1st gear and 2nd gear till I figured I probably wouldn't go careening into the ditch with a waif of tire smoke and some squiggly rubber marks behind me
Seems to scoot pretty good, I still need to do some more playing till I get everything dialed in just right, but it's not bad now.
Hope you didn't have much damage from the storm, and everything back to normal.

Sounds awesome! That was my biggest worry with nitrous. Giving it too much juice in first gear and having it puddle in the intake and then being able to roast weenies over my car. I would defininetly need all of the safety gear. Did you end up going with the wet kit?

We got a little flooding in our basement but not bad at all, no damage done. It's supposed to be high 20's to mid 30 temps this week so that should dry things up. The only problem there will be tornadoes. I don't need to see any of those.

Yea, I went with the wet kit. I started out wanting the Zex dry kit, but the more I researched the more I started leaning towards going with the wet kit.I heard a lot of good things about the NX plate system, as well as the programable controller.
I'm glad to hear you escaped the down pour without to much damage,as it could have been pretty bad. I'm hoping those high temps [mid 30's? Yipe!!]don't brew up any more storms. It's supposed to be 29 here by tuesday.
Are you ordering your new engine this week?

I hope to order the shortblock on Wednesday. I'm waiting for my last sponsorship cheque. I didn't get quite as much as I was hoping. It totalled $4000 less a few hundred I spent making sponsorship signs and T-shirts. I guess it's better than having to pay for everything myself though. Once I get the last cheque I'll order the block. I'm not trying to plug anything on here but I actually started a performance parts business called Goliath Performance Parts. VT is one of my vendors. I can get blocks, cams, springs, heads, full motors, rotating assemblies, the whole bit.

No problem. That's my feeling exactly. You have to travel so far to get anything for the stang or else pay major freight charges. We deliver to your door if you live in the Hat or the Cliff.
