I'd rock that just the way it is. Well, except maybe the seat cover.

We have an event up here every summer called Hotrodarama that is devoted strictly to true Rods and rodders.

Their credo:

We as hard core hot rodders dig:

Real magnesium Halibrand wheels!
Candy paint and primer jobs!
Hard rubber pie crust slicks!
Ford flatheads!
Anything with a HEMI in it!
3 pedals!
Hotrod ingenuity!
Split wishbones!
Crusty old dragsters and gassers!
Blowers and Hilborn fuel injection
HOP UP, RODDER'S JOURNAL, CK DELUXE
ROLL AND PLEATS, PRIMER, ROD & CUSTOM
Laid back cool folk that dig the iron
(it's all about the iron)
We as hard core hot rodders don't dig:

Any Billet Wheel ( None!)
Pink or Turquoise with 80's graphics
Fuzzy Dice and Poodle Skirts
Crying Baby Dolls (PUKE!)
Velour or Tweed interiors (office furniture)
GM tilt columns
The gold chainer "1-800" mentality
Independent front ends (unless its really low!)
Trailer Queens (unless it's a drag car)
Pro-Street High Tech Street Rods
you know which ones suck!
Stockers that you are afraid to cut up!
Car show trophy whores with egos

*************************************************

Your truck would fit right in. Rat rods rule.

Here's a local guy who came to one of our cruise ins. I don't know the year but it's got an EFI 302/C4 and it's air bagged.

that seat cover is the tijuana/mexico special. I personally think it is kick A$$ style, maybe from the good memories of all the baja surf trips...It is mainly a california thing. Oh yea I fully approve of the truck

That's definitely a worthwhile swap, if you ask me. Should the mod bug bite you again for a Mustang, convert your 4cyl to a V8. I want an old F100 like that to build a pro street truck with.

I doubt it...i have a mag article that has an early '70s F100 with a DOHC Cobra engine but it's not the Terminator...you know someone has done it. What i haven't seen is an old '30s hotrod with one in it.

Nothing wrong with heavy metal

There is a 32 commercial (truck) street rod that I see at shows that I would love to own.

Love it man. Dad had a 53' F100 2 years ago...sold it though. I'd love to shove my foot up his ass for that one. But he's doin good things with the 65' F100. Keep us updated with pics. Good luck on the new project!
