Ill still be the proud owner of one someday, whether they blow up or not. This is actually the first time Ive heard of the engine think, but like stated, who goes WOT in 6th gear anywho? I cant wait to own one, and burnouts are a waste IMO unless you are at a drag strip, so, Im not too worried about it.

stupid

Regarding the first link:

I think the guy is a dumb a$&. He mods his Cobra after the warranty and custom tunes it on a dyno. Who knows what kind of tune he had? He then does up to 160 mph in over drive running for extended periods of time at full boost and expects someone else to pay the bill for his torched engine? Man he sounds like such a cry baby. People like him always have to place their problems on others. He should be thankful he and any others around him are alive. Just my opinion.

I could have done a free swap, but IRS is heavy! And my stang handles really well. I need LCAs though. I'll buy them this winter.

I still can't wait until the day i can own a terminator. I intend to find one that is boned stock and never modified, low miles, and i'll be willing to pay extra for that situation. I think i'd do appearance mods and maybe CAI/catback/tune.
It doesn't surpise me that dropping the clutch or high speed runs result in problems. If thats how you drive your car, you should acknowledge there is a risk and be willing to pay if something happens.

it may be heavy but somehow it reduces unsprung mass by like 100 lbs or something crazy like that!

OMG funny how this thread started Because a buddy of mine with a redfire coupe terminator was crusing at about 155 in 6th gear the other day when he decided to punch it When he did he laid into it for about 15 seconds he said and boom! Too much damn boost for the PTW clearance The number 6 piston was destroyed.

And that was just 2 weeks ago I cant believe this thread got started lol. Yea definately be warned about the top speed terminator runs with a pulley swap

Not to sound like a smart ass, but if preventative maintenance was your priority....then how come 80k miles was a big deal?
