Well I traded the 95 Stang for a 03 Yamaha R6. Since I was carless I put it up for sale and my friend called and asked if I wanted to trade and I did!

I did the same thing a few years ago. Sold my 95 GT and got a CBR 600RR. I now have a 94 Cobra so you can see how that turned out

I ont plan on keeping it but I needed something 2 get around. Just for insurance to pay me for the stang.

I would love to get a blue one of those...drop dead sexy.

The biggest problem for me is I drive far to many crap roads with crap drivers (well used to before I got laid off) at around 75 miles round trip. I just could not get one in fear of the odds of getting hit by a tard in rush hour.

If I find a job closer...damn right I am looking at one.

Thats cool man, I love sportbikes too. Even though gas prices have been coming down, I still ride mine to work any day I can just for the gas savings. That and because I just love to ride!

Did you get any gear along with the bike? I was looking for an R6 when I found my ZX6R. Got a deal, or the search would have continued. I'd have kept the car personally, but I have a bike that collects dust more often than not. Of course, that's all the car is doing currently, too.

An '03 R6 with 8K miles is worth about $4500. So I hope your car wasn't very nice cause I feel like you got screwed. To put things in perspective I see '06 Gixxer 600s with 4-5K miles for $5500 all over. I'm not trying to be a dick though. Have fun with it and be safe.

Oh, and if you plan on ridin a bike long term you are gonna get sick of that R6 real fast. 600s feel fast for about a month. I remember the first time I rode a 600 I thought it was absolutely insane. Now I have put a couple thousand miles on an'07 Ninja ZX-10 and I can honestly say I am used to it and it doesn't seem that fast. Don't get me wrong its a 9 second bike, but you get used to everything. Either way have fun man.

ya thats what i was getting at, u could pick that bike up around me in perfect condition for 5 grand, or 4500 with some very minor flaws, from what i remember ur car was pritty built up....soo it does seem to me like u got scrwed, but hey if ur happy then thats all that matters....have fun man, stay safe

Body was in perect shape and was painted bout 3 years ago now. The car had no drivetrain and was traded without rims. I thought I had screwed him over lol! Since I was gonna sell the roller for like 1500. Im already selling the bike for 3500 lol!!! Im getting a stang! Dont get me wrong the bike is alot of fun but its just not the same as hearing a 5.0 roar down the street. Im getting another 5.0 lol!!!
