Well guys, i sold the 95 about 4 or 5 weeks ago. I had some troubles with the 418.. Three teeth on the cam sprocket broke off, and the chain carried the teeth down to the crankshaft sprocket, where they jambed in and the timing chain had to jump/stretch over the broken pieces. This stretched out chain allowed the cam timing to get wayyy outa whack and the pistons hit the valves

So the heads got beat up pretty bad, every valve, and pushrod is junk. ED C said he will fix the heads no problem.. So i can sell those, but i havent gotten around to bringing them to him yet. The bottom end is actually fine, just some scaring on the pistons, but is pretty minor.. its a tough bottom end for sure.

So after all these troubles(seems like i couldnt get a break ) with the car i thought it was time to get rid of it. Someone in my state bought the rolling chasis, and i sold pretty much everything else but the heads.

Ok now to the good part!! I got my new car today.. A sonic blue 03 cobra with 3,100 miles. Its a sweet color, the pics i have really dont do the color justice. The previous owner did some of the usual mods : Level II halfshafts, diff brace, diff bushings, ported blower, 2.8 pulley w/ idler, prochamber, borla stinger catback, line lock, adjustable drag shocks, steeda tri-ax, full length subs. The car was tuned by mustang magic, it made 468/472 sae. Only thing i could see doing to it is a heat exchanger and some tints. Im just gonna drive it and have fun. And the best part is it has NO head tick, trans vibration or any of the other issues related with the 03/04's.

Anyways, heres some pics of the new ride I hope you guys dont mind if i still hang around the forum..

Notice the shift nob. Im not a huge fan of it, but it has the line lock button on the top of it which is pretty cool.

Sorry to hear about your problems with the 95. I was anxious to see the number you put down with the 418.

Congrats on the cobra, i still want one. Sonic Blue is an awesome color, my friend has a sonic blue GT. Good Luck with your new car, and we dont mind if you hang around

Thanks for the kind words guys.

It was tough to let the 95 go, but i knew i needed to get rid of it. It was just to much of a moneypit, and it seemed there was ALWAYS something leaking, broken, or needing my attention. It will be nice to have a car that has ac, and will not stall and give me idle fits at every stoplight, yet still go quick!

THe previous owners best time with the car (he ran it on 2 occasions) was a 11.5x @ 119 in summer heat. Im excited to find out what it will do MPH wise in this cool fall air.. Ill be running it this week i think.

Thanks man. You will be fine bud...Actually u will have email ina few minutes.

Dave - funny stuff lol, yea i planned to keep it quiet till i actually bought something. I did ALOT of looking, dealers are moving them for good prices. But with any new one u run the risk of getting all the stupid problems these cars are associated with once they get 1-2k miles.

Yeah I SHOULD be fine, but my luck usually goes the way yours did lol. Anyways, I didn't want to say anything on here until you did. I can't wait to get that 418 back together! I just need to paint it a different color...

Looks good Jesse. I couldn't wait to see it. I'm sad to see you get rid of the '95, but I know all the problems you had with both the turbo motor and the 418. Definitely stick around!!!
