hello,
First off...this site is an incredible wealth of knowledge...huge thanks to everyone.

ok, I put the things ive done to my car so far in my sig everything else is stock (except air filter), including 3:08 gears...what would the next logical couple of mods be to get the most bang for the buck?

also ive found an 1/8 mile track thats not to far away that im gonna go check out, but ive never raced before so what would be an average 1/8 time and speed for an average driver...

thanks

Along with the gears, a set of pulleys is always a nice bang for the buck. You could always spring for a set of Drag Radials too if it's in the budget. That and some seat time should get you some pretty respectable numbers in the 1/8th.

The only local track near where I live is an 1/8th, so I am all about it.

The 1/8th is all about torque and traction, horsepower doesn't really have a chance to really make as much of a difference.

I have scene bone stock 5.0's run high 7's with only gears, slicks, and a shot of giggle gas. You would probally get into the mid low 8's with just real low gears, like 4.30's, and some slicks, but your MPH would suck, but it's the ET that counts. A stock (regular tires, decent driver) foxbody T5 usually runs real high 9's or low 10's, auto's and SN-95's in the high 10's and the 11's. That is just what I observed. My first time to the track with my car when it was stock except the underdrives, CAI, and flows ran 10.3's at about 73mph.
