some easy questions about mods and 1/8 mile

The only local track near where I live is an 1/8th, so I am all about it.

The 1/8th is all about torque and traction, horsepower doesn't really have a chance to really make as much of a difference.

I have scene bone stock 5.0's run high 7's with only gears, slicks, and a shot of giggle gas. You would probally get into the mid low 8's with just real low gears, like 4.30's, and some slicks, but your MPH would suck, but it's the ET that counts. A stock (regular tires, decent driver) foxbody T5 usually runs real high 9's or low 10's, auto's and SN-95's in the high 10's and the 11's. That is just what I observed. My first time to the track with my car when it was stock except the underdrives, CAI, and flows ran 10.3's at about 73mph.
