Ok heres the deal ive owned plenty of stangs rangin from 86-93 and im talkin way over 13 cars. The wife ownes a 01GT. So i know my fair share of problems and what not. But never owned any stangs rangin from years 94-98. OK, Friday nite i cruise around with a friend and find a clean 1995 Black 5.0 5 spd on a used car lot. Now i havent drivin the car, or anything like that. I plan on goin Monday to talk some numbers and take it for a ride. Hes askin 5500 and it has 103,000 miles on it. It looks stock from what i can see except some Flowmasters. Stock height, Tri bar rims, no tint. Looks pretty good, only thing it has no leather, black cloth, also had the Mach 460 in it.

Now i ask you, does it seem like a fair price, and what should i look for with these cars? What would be a good offer? Any info would be greaty appreciated. :nice:

I bought mine for $5900 with about 97,000 miles on it. Car prices are a little high where I live but my car was amazingly clean and runs like a champ. So to me it is worth every penny. If the car has not been beaten on and its clean I say buy it. You could always try to get the price lower and see what the guy says. 103,000 miles is nothing on these cars. I'm sure you know that having owned 5.0s.

i'd keep looking, i got mine for $5300:

Leather seats from cobra
5spd
3.73's
full exhaust
104,000
clean as can be

I would look on the classifieds on stangnet and corral.net and be willing to travel to get that ideal car. :D

I got my bone stock gts for a little over 5500.. probably a bit too high but it was beautiful and the parents helped.. sounds like a good price to me though, especially if you get him down to 5k.. go for it, and welcome to the family :nice:

Well you've owned a lot of cars it looks like so you pry already know this, but either way remember that...

1. Money talks. If you walk in and throw down 5k he'll pry take it.

2. Don't seem over anxious to buy car.

yea that my plan, walk in put the cash in his face if the car is ok. If he bites, great and if not im not goin to spend more then what i can afford. Ill be dissapointed if he dont take my offer but then who knows i can go back in a week or so if its still there, and try him again. Maybe he will bite then, instead of having a Stang sit on his lot and not puttin the 5000 in his pocket.

As long as it is in great condition, buy it.

That is not a bad deal in my opinion and I'm glad I bought my car completely stock. Also, find out about the previous owner. girl??guy??young???

See if they will take $5000 though.

I just bought a White 1995 Mustang Gt 5 Speed.
Very clean, Graphite Int. 155000 miles. I paid $4200.00 for it. I plan on using some parts for a Factory Five Racing Cobra kit car. Until that happens I'm having fun in it. My last Mustang was a 1967. I've owned many chevys.
I would say if the Int. is clean and looks and drives well I would consider it.

i bought my stock, VERY well maintaned 94 gt with 84,000 miles on it for 4,800. cash. car was perfect except the radio messed up but i fixed that (easy 2 min job). the car was flawless when i bought mine. i bet you can get him to under 5k. my friend just bought a brand new f150 from the dealer after taking a good 8k off the price. you can get it done.
