So only making it to one track night so far, I plan on making it down next week to see how it does. Based on my posted timeslips, what should my average 60ft be based on trap speed? My friends say they're horrible, but on street tires I pretty much have to leave from 1500 with a slight bog launch to not spin 1st off. To me it runs excellent for a daily and being put together with whatever cheap parts I could scoop up. I'll be taking my radials this venture in hopes of getting some better times, wouldnt mind some input of what it may run beforehand though. 3200 pound car loaded, 5 speed with 3.55's.

Every calculator i've checked for trap speed agreed with you. But, going off what rwhp i've been guessing it has said a 13.025 best. Need to get some more track time, still pretty noob at leaving off the lights...

Remember once your 60ft gets better your MPH will go down a little....i can see you running at least high 12s...

Put some good tires on it! I prefer m&h bias ply DOT legal drag tire. Easily cut 1/2 sec off your et. With a regular radial tire just launch with as much clutch slip as you can. If you have a drag tire then just keep trying different launch rpm's until you get a consistent 60ft time.

Some people can actually beat your car on FOOT for that 60', lol. You just need traction and seat time. What's your combo and rwhp? The car looks quick on paper so far!

It's rare that I get off work to make it to the track, fridays are the only time and midnight madness has too many participants to get more than 4 runs in if you're there for 5 hours.
My setup is an 91 shortblock, gt40p heads with new valves and springs, tfs stage 1 cam, proform 1.6's, performer 2 intake, and a holley 600 vac sec/600 dp.

Solid results for a fairly simple/mild combo. What tire are you running at track?

My street tires are general g max, cheap but probably the best hooking tire i've ran. New they were awesome, but after 70 street runs and all the daily driving they started slipping at 30% life left. I'll be using nitto's this time, plan on getting some hits in after work to figure launch rpm.

I'd bet you're at 280 flywheel, not at the wheels with P heads

With around a 105mph trap I'd guess he's got to be close to 280rwhp. Haven't run the online calculator but just a guesstimate

Agreed that he is either at that or really close to it.

3200lbs with you in it? Assume it's stock suspension.
what is up with mph?
103, 108, 107, 104, 104...
with a decent DOT tire, 103/104 should be good for 12.8-9's, 107/108 should be good for 12.6-7's assuming the car is set up for street, not strip only.
throw slicks on it and those times could improve, especially with a gear change... throw drag radials on it and consistency will likely be rather difficult with 3.55's and a stick trans.

2940 empty, i'm 140 and my gf is 120. Always include her since she's always the camerawoman. It's not a bracket car, being consistent is my last worry. It'll be nice to get some better time slips as is, have a procharger kit waiting for spring so being able to see what I gained is useful information to me.

I went 12.8x with a 1.8x 60ft at the same moh, 108.xx. that was in a 3400lb car. WiTh a 1.6-1.7 60ft, I think it could have gone 12.5x to 12.6x.
