Why so bent on it being functional? Most functional hoods little to no performance, and just make you clean your engine and filter more. I'd go with the Cervini's hood. They make a great product.

why does everyone care about functional? you think you get anything out of a shaker? except it looks cool and u have to clean it out once in a while, thats it. on a modern fuel injected car it doesnt do anything. even cutting out a hood scoop wont do anything, probably make things worse. i have a bunch of the cervinis stuff on my car. and boss 429s had the boss 429 hoodscoop, not the shaker. boss 302s and machs had shaker. check it out, this is how you do retro....here are some pix...i actually had one dood, he must have been dumb, but he thought my car was a 69. was mad funny

I thought some of you might be interested in see a carbon fiber version of the 'california dream'. The only reason I posted and brought this up again because it seemed to fit into my original thread.

Some of you are looking at a hood I posted months ago.

Why do I want a functional hood? Because I like the look and the functional part is a bonus (or minus for some of you who get upset with having to clean the engine bay more).

A vented hood keeps engine bay temps down. That's a good thing, especially if you're using forced induction.

Where did you get the letters for the trunk lid that spell out "M U S T A N G"? I kind of like that.

They are available from many sources. You can get those that stick on or use pins. Any source that sells classic Mustang parts will have them. The Paddock, Dallas Mustang, etc.
