I recentally purchased a 96 gt..after about 1500 miles that i put on it i took it in for new fluids.when i took it in they changed my air filter only to find that the car was collecting oil in the filter.The car does smoke when i first start it and when i rump it. we changed the vacum hoses and the filter and it is still doin it....can any one out there help me ..please ...i have changed the pvc valve and the filter and it is still doing it...could it be the blow by ?

try changing the pcv valve


it's on the valve cover with a hose connected to the air intake

This isn't a K&N filter or any of those aftermarket filters requiring oil is it??

Change the PCV valve, but how can engine oil get on the air filter? There is nothing ahead of the filter other than the air intake. The PCV hose is about 2 feet after the filter.

But if you are getting oil on the air filter, go to radio shack and get some electronics cleaning spray and clean the mass air meter wires
