some pics of my car with new paint

That coil seems to be working fine. I guess when it goes bad I'll just buy an MSD coil or something.

On a side note, does anyone know where I can get a descent Saleen kit that will fit nicely? My buddy bought a Saleen front bumper from Mr. Bodykit and he had to spend 30 hours on it just to make it fit right. That's obsurd!

Please tell me the Saleen kit is for your buddy and not your freshly painted car. :D

BTW - looks good!:nice:

"1995 GT - Vortech V-1 S trim, AFM Power Pipe, Vortech Race Bypass, Walbro 255 Fuel Pump, Aeromotive AFPR, MSD Ignition, Edelbrock Perf. Intake, King Cobra Clutch, Flowmasters, O/R H pipe, Heddman Shorties, Adj. clutch cable kit/quad/FWA, Fox T-Body swap. Dyno'd 423 HP/424 TQ "

Is that rwhp? stock heads?

if its $25 a gallon is probably terrible...i paid over $200 a gallon for the DuPont Nason Redfire Metallic which isnt even the best paint

Employee discount. ;)

And I am trying it on a '77 Comet that will be a strip car first. I dried a sample out at work. It takes a while to dry, but it dries hard as ****. And you can buy a hardener for it too. And this isnt a metallica paint. Black doesnt usually have metal flakes in it. If i was going witha different color I would use the actual paint.

Its basically the same stuff that fire extinguishers, push mowers, tractor parts, etc are painted with. So its VERY hard.

Of course ill see how it holds up before I use it on my car.

Yep, he has stock heads.

When he posted the dyno results I found the path I am bringing my car in. :)

I wonder how much power I can gain if I went with a nice set of aluminum heads.. Nah... I'm gonna put a windsor based engine in.

And no, my buddy bought a car with most of the Saleen stuff already on it, but it had the stock front bumper so he got a bumper from Mr. Bodykit and it sucked serious butt!

I think I'll just save the money and go with a complete kit from Saleen. I want a nice S351 clone, I mean it will look so close that you'll be hard pressed to tell the difference! I guess that means my nice intake will have to be replaced with a Cobra intake!

So you get a fresh paint job on your car... THEN look for a body kit for your car?

The body kit can easily be painted to match and installed. I looked closely at my friend's car to make sure the Saleen kit will cover everything and it looks like it will. I see people buy cars all the time THEN add body kits. Most of those cars already have nice paint so there's no difference. Besides, the couple hundred I spent on getting it painted is nothing compared to what the body kit will cost!
