Some pics of my Street Scene kit/spoiler.

Hey folks,

I just wanted to post some pictures of my 05 now that is out of the body shop. The good folks at Street Scene set me up with their AWESOME body kit. This thing fits like a glove and is made out of urethane. I was a little skeptical at first because I've seen how some body kits fit, but this one went on with no problem and only took the body shop 4 days to prep, paint, and install. I'm VERY happy with the outcome. I still need to add the lower grilles, but am currently looking at alternatives, so I haven't bought them yet.

Anyway, here it is, hope you enjoy the pictures!

kris, you always take good pics. can you please break the rules and take a pic in the middle of the day? i see something in the pic, but i want to confirm it with midday light before i look like a dummy and say something that might be my imagination. thanks. i am also liking the kit on your car, the other ones i have seen didnt look as good!!

Awesome car! IMHO, the best looking body kit I've seen so far posted on this forum. Nice use of the sun reflectors Kris. I can tell you have a knack at catching the sun's rays at the right point in the day. The amber glow of the sun's reflection helps enhance the car's color.

I'm just curious, have you had a chance to catch the "golden moment" a sunrise? I had a friend who would wake up a few hours before sunrise to set up his car photo shoots and he took advantage of the blue hues of the sky just before the sun peeked over the horizon. Regardless, you did a nice job of capturing the sexiness of the '05 Mustang.

Hey Kris,

Nice to see you on this forum too. I always thought you were a Chevy guy and then saw that you bought a Mustang! The body kit looks clean but what it does now though is it makes your 17" bullitts almost look like you got a set of little 15" wheels on there. Tell me you're gonna atleast get a 18" aftermarket wheel to replace those bullitts? I'd go with 19s or 20s which would really help the overall look and proportions of the car. What ya thinkin'?

Hey John,

I hear ya on the wheels. I am planning 20's all around, but haven't settled on a company. I'm currently looking at GfG, CCW, iForged, Forgeline, or possibly even talking to Billet Specialties about doing another set of one-offs. It's a tough decision, so I haven't rushed into it. I also want to be sure I have some big brakes lined up for it. My biggest pet peeve on newer cars is huge wheels and stock brakes. It looks stupid.

SactoStang, the only way I'll catch a sunrise is if I stay up for one...I'm not so good with mornings. It's a good idea though, I'll have to try that.

Philstang, still working on it. Being my own car, I'm never able to call the renderings done. But soon enough. I'm hesitant to show the renderings as there's always someone with more money that could do it faster than a 21 year-old on a budget. I heard Giovanna build a Mustang with the SSE kit as well and even did a similar paint scheme to my original, so I had to head back to the drawing board...

SilverGTvert, the total cost to have the kit installed, painted, and the original spoiler removed and the holes filled was $1325. My local dealer painted it. I lucked out and the shop manager liked my work and is into custom cars.

Bigcat, I could do that. What do you think you're seeing. I know my car pretty well by now, so if you have any suspicions, maybe I can put them to rest without taking pics for now.

Kris-I like that spoiler a lot. Any thoughts on how that spoiler treatment would look on a vert? You're pretty good at visualizing cars, and I have a gt vert w/o any spoiler. I'm considering whether to leave it as is or add an after mkt one like yours.

Glad you guys like it! I'm finishing up several deals this week that include brakes and a supercharger for the car, so with any luck, I'll have a lot more to share very soon!

Hey Kris, what brakes are you looking at? I've been looking around for those too. I'm thinking Wilwood, but there's also Baer and Brembo. But I only plan on running 18s so, Saleen's 14" kit is too big.

Most likely a set of 14" w/4-piston's all around from Precision Brakes Company They use Wilwood calipers and in-house manufactured rotors, similar to what Baer did with Alcon and PBR. They have a kit for the '05 and can do some pretty cool powdercoating work on their brakes too. I'm running a set of 20's on mine, so the brakes should fit fine. 14" brakes can fit behind 18's, but it depends on the wheel. I have 14" SSBC's on my Chevelle with 18" fat lip Billet Specialties wheels.

yeah, street scene, and some other company make a duck tail with a pc that covers up the factory holes....makes it look like a reinforcement for the ducktail.
