Some Progress Pics

Well it's been a while since I have posted anything on the car, and no new pics yet, but I am ordering my new hood next week and once I get that all painted up I will have shots of the car completly back together for everyone.

Edit:

This is the hood I will be buying next week. I must say that shipping to Canada BLOWS!!

Car looks hot, I like the white in it too....

I bought a Cervini hood too, but it was used off of Ebay. I cleared it with customs myself and picked up at the warehouse. All together it cost me 400 Canadian for hood, shipping and taxes to have it brought here from eastern US to the middle of Canada. Not bad since the local speed shops want something like 800-900 dollars plus taxes -:nonono:

The only thing I see being a problem with that wild paint job like you said- not scratching anything. that's gonna be one tough task.

We made sure to put a pile of clear on it, so if I do get a scratch it can hopefully be buffed out. Once the hood is done and on the whole car gets 2 more coats of clear with more wet sanding.

Yeah the hood to my door with shipping is 851 cnd, but the hood it self charged to my visa is only 531 cnd the rest is all shipping and clearing customs. What ever happened to FREE trade!!?

I must be the only one that thinks that this car is ugly. I'm just saying what I think; I don't own it or drive it.

You like it now, but in a year or so when some of the paint starts chipping and cracking off because of all the short cuts you took, but it’s your car and your money I guess. I don’t know for all the money and time you put in it. Why you didn’t just do it right the first time.

Just my 2 cents.

I smell a hater. HAH j/k Im sure this car is going to see great detail and will be clean ALL the time so I'm sure the work is going to hold up, not like its gonna be a DD. Sometimes when doing graphics, you HAVE to leave the parts on to make it look good.

Taking off handles and key holes? Doors and a hatch? WOW yea that sounds hard...

Do it right and do it one time!

Like what we did in Iraq, One time and right!!:D :D :D :flag:

Did you see the picture where the door lock and handle is incorporated into the art work? Cant really do that too well with them out. I do agree with you that EVERYTHING should be off the car but in his case, its the only way to do it.

lol it's all good i know not everyone is going to like it and someone will always say they could do it better. and next time once I get bored of this paint maybe I will do it different. This is my hobby and I am almost 100% this wont be the only time the car sees an overhaul like this.

as for the keeping it clean yea It will be spotless and it wont be my DD. My daily driver I love to get dirty so I can have one dirty vehicle and one spotless one
