First I'd like to say I get no response in the Power Adder forum and I think were all family with 5.0's so dont kill me, but I need valve covers for TF Twisted Wedge heads that will clear a SN-92 intake pipe. Reclocking it don't help cause its dead center of the unit. If I bang the corner of the VC in it would look like isht and I dont want to destroy new VC. If you have a setup like mine what did you do to overcome this? Will the stock VC work on these heads or will the RR hit? Thanks and if it bothers ya'll that I posted in this forum sorry

I would just use a 3/8" spacer. I have tw heads and ford racing valve covers and that was the only way I could get them to fit. Didn't try the stockers since they were pretty grimy and I spent all the money on the FR covers.

I have spacer and have clearence for bigger VC but its my supercharger thats in the way( the back side were air is taken in)of the pipe fits right above the stock VC if I go taller the corner of the VC dosn't allow me to put the tube on. I'm looking for VC that are a hair taller than stock.. something that will clear rockers and SC at the same time. Worst case will stock VC fit TF TW heads?

Is this a stupid question I'm asking or what. I've searched and get nothing but the same thing I posted a while ago so whats the deal. Someone asked in a new thread about stock VC fitting GT40 heads and he gets a couple of responses and still get nothing. Atleast fill me in and flame me or something. Jesus Christ

Probably no response because no one that's read your post has a good answer.

I have both stock Ford stamped steel and aftermarket Ford SVO chrome steel vc's on iron GT40's and they fit. But I have stock bolt down rockers and Comp retrofit studs and roller tips on the other.

I just got tall Moroso blue aluminum covers without baffles to clear Comp roller rockers on AFR heads with studs and poly locks. I have carbed cars so I don't have the height restriction.

Also, the valve cover clearance issue can be tackled in several ways, such as the spacers suggested. Then you get the question of oil baffles or not...

Lots of us go ghetto on stuff like this to save money. I sort of like dingy old 255 v8 valve covers painted Ford gray paint, as it lessens other's expectations of what my car will run...... Takes the eyes' attention off the nitrous solenoids.

This is hard to measure because of the variation in studs, adjusters and the rocker travel. I ended up having to mock up a head to see if any of my stock covers fit the AFR setup, they did not, so I went to plan b.

Have you called TFS?

Just forget it. Ya'll dont even read my post and respond with what I have described in my previos post. You suck I'll just stick to asking stuff I could just search for and save these issues for a real mechanic not an internet one
