Last night someone took a flat head screw driver and jammed it into the door lock. The factory alarm never made a sound. He didn't get anything. It's all stock. I'm sure he was trying to steal the car because he pulled out the booklet that ford gives you and went thru it. I think he was looking for a spare key. It sucks I just made the first payment.

Get a clutch lock. You can use it on the brake pedal also if you have an automatic. $65 with a $10 rebate from the company that you mail in. Unless they flat bed it, or have a blow torch, your car is'nt going anywhere. That's one reason while everything in my Mach is stock (interior wise). They can have the factory stuff if their desperate enough to want it.

my brother's car was broken into the same way. they took all his christmas presents out of the trunk, his 1st aid kit, but left a $125 hockey stick & a $500 pair of ice skates. nice.

anyway, install a steel plate in the door between that hole & the lock rod & do it on both doors. if they want to get in bad enough, you'll lose a window, but at least it's one more obstacle.

with PATS they wont be able to steal it without a programmed key

atleast they cant drive away with it i mean, they would have to tow it

O.k. the cop informed me that I have the right to beat anyone's a** that is inside the car without my permission. But I can not drag them out of the car. And he said that if I have a regestered gun ( About 8 of them) I have the right to hold them at gun point until the police arrive. He did not recomend shooting them.

How can you hold someone at gun point if you can't shoot them. If they tried to run and you shot, your in the wrong. Unless you are allowed to shoot them if they try to run, in which case i would just pretend thats what happened.

Speaking of shooting

That is exactly how I avoided trouble a few years ago. Crackhead breaks into my car alarm goes off. I grab my little .22 and confront crackhead. Dude makes a run at my with a screwdriver so I shoot him in the leg. He turns to run shoot him in the arse. Did not say anything about this when I called the cops I only wanted one patrol car at my house. So when he ask if I could ID him I told him to check the hospitals the told him about the screwdriver and how he got one in the arse after he threw it at me. Needless to say I still had to drive myself down to the station and answer questions for awhile. They run my registration etc, find the crackhead. All is fine. In retrospect I should have sued the crackhead for the .35 for my two bullets.

As satisfying as that might be, it's a horrible idea. People who are shot, but not killed, committing criminal acts have successfully sued their shooters. If you ever, EVER pull the trigger on your gun with the intent to shoot someone, always shoot to kill. Dead people can't sue you.
