Something for all you NOOOOBIES!!!

I forgot about this thread...lol

In the 96, I never need to adjust because with the 4.10...I'M ALWAYS IN 5TH!!! :fuss:

However, the Termi is gonna take getting used to. 6th is up and not back, so that's weird. And shifting into 5th, I fear going into Reverse, but I don't think that could happen. I would think they have it blocked when you are moving forward.

There is a reverse lockout solenoid in the T56's. Works with the ECU and the speed sensor.

The times I have forgot what gear I'm in (can count them on one hand over 7 years), I was so out of it, I wouldn't even know to look at the indicator if I had one.

Okay, that sounds good. I figured that, just wasn't 100%. The first 6 speed I drove was my Dad's GT500 with about 200 miles on it. I didn't even shift into 5th on the highway the first time I drove it. I was so nervous. I skipped from 4th to 6th...:D Now, it's no problem when I drive his car. I love the shifting of that 6spd, more than mine.

Nah, I just need one that will put the tranny into 3rd automatically. I have a device that tells me when I miss. It makes this real loud winding sound and the little red needle goes up over 6,000.
 :rlaugh:

?

And reverse has a lockout on it :nice:

I rarely forgot what gear I was in when I dailied my 89 GT but when I got my quiet SHO I would be cruising at 65 on the highway in third gear and not even notice it for a while. lol

HAHA...we had a customer buy a transmission off of us. He bought a new Ranger and he drove from the airport to this side of town where he lived in 2nd gear on the highway..and it was an automatic. This guy was a complete moron, I don't know how he didn't know the RPM's were screaming, but he burnt it up.
