Hey guys I just put a 65mm twin throttle body on my cobra. And now the gas peddle is hard to push did i do something wrong or is it just the throttle spring? I think I need to give it some "wear" in time to loosen up. Let me know what yall think?

I had the BBK for awhile but it caused problems. Even after adjusting the TPS to .99vdc I still had to deal with the cruise probems and the idle problems.
To answer your question it doesn't wear in. I went to the local hardware store with the stock spring in hand and found one the same length but not as strong. Accelerator felt normal after that.

Your origanl throttle body is just fine. Do not go for any after market throttle body. They will all give you problems, especially bbk. The stock throttle body can actually handle up to 800rwhp really without having to switch it. Also, very few people have actually showed any real true gains for switching. Apex motorsports where I live ran a few dyno's before and after the switch and actually loss of power. Hope that helps.

Did you not read that replacing the stock unit can actually cause a loss of power and cause drivability problems?

I'd seriously consider selling it and buying a more worthwhile mod.

Can somebody please explain to me how a throttle body will make me loose horsepower on my Bolt-on Cobra. I just don't understand

The throttle body changes the velocity of the air coming in which will modify your power curve. Impromper installation will cause a loss in average power. Improper application of the throttle body (wrong size for your combination) could cause a loss in average power as well.

I don't know if your setup would benefit from 65mm or not. I didn't do a dyno before and after my BBK 62mm install but I felt that I had more low end torque versus the stock unit. My track times proved that the average power being generated was the same betwen the two units because I run the same times with the stock t/b and the BBK 62mm t/b (13.6ish).

Why don't you just put the stock unit on and dyno again? Or maybe you can go to the track with both configurations. It's an easy mod to do. I'm still glad I got mine even after everyone on boards give me a hard time for buying it.

You asked about pedal feel. The BBK has a heavier feel to it IMHO. I got used to it over time.
