Sony Cdx-ra700

anyone have this cd player in their car? it looks really awesome and would look nice with my set up that im going for. Im looking to put this in the upper din (im all about motorized plates) and delete the lower but fab in a 2 jack 140 watt power inverter.

As a whole I see way less of our Alpine's coming back, very few Pioneer's as well. The true MOSFET amp on the Pioneer's does seem to give them a warmer sound but for pure sound quality i can still hear the difference off an Alpine. For the record,I also sell SOny and JVC. Both are decent but I see more JVC than anything, more so the lower end of the line up. Sony's have been 10 times better in the last 2 years than in any previous years that I've been selling them.

I have owned 5 different alpine head units over the past 10 years and never had any problems with em. The owner of the audio shop where I have bought the alpine units says that over 99% of the alpine head units that come back are from some idiot installing it wrong and passing it off as defective.

I have owned Pioneer Premier, Kenwood, Clarion, and Sony top of the line head units and have to say the Sony and Clarion were the best sounding and had the least noise. All the models I used had no built in amplifier and required an external amp though. When I competed in IASCA is used the Premier at first then switched to the Clarion mainly due to the Pioneer didn't do good in the noise floor test. I haven't competed since getting the Sony unit but have to say it could hold it's own with any head unit I have heard.
