Yeah if you shift into OD! That's just dumb though... that puts super high loads on the motor to maintain speed. Racing + OD = bad

The tranny shifts into 4th automatically if you max out the 4rd gear

Those loads aren't that bad on 4th, I tried it alot before

Not if O/D is shut off, it wount shift, it just bounces of the rev limiter. Trust me I know. LOL

On a stock to near stock car you can get away with shifting into O/D at WOT but it is still not good for the trans. Now if you do that making the power Im making I don't know if you would get one pass in, I've never tried it and I never will.

i wanted to see high speed wise fast because i was bored....

ohh and for the O/D thing.. i turned mine off and around 100 the light on my dash turned off, and my car lowered its rpms... soo they do turn off automatically at a certain speed

mine doesn't. I trapped 100.2 in 3rd, and i've gone to 110 in 3rd.

no, my tuner from MPH is sitting in a box for my conversion. But i do have a built auto that's quite different from stock form, although I have a reworked valve body, it's not a manual valve body.

Yea I have a tune but I've done it numerous times even when my car was running slower (12.2s) and my tuner never did anything atleast that I know about. I thought the whole point of being able to shut off O/D was to lock out 4th.

Thats the whole reason my trap speed is so low and I switched to 3.73s, when I hit the 1000' mak at the track my 6500 rev limiter would kick in and I'd let off and coast the last 320'. It never shifted into 4th thank god because I'd don't think my trans could have handled it.
