On my 2002 GT I noticed the other day after a short drive a smell from under the hood, coolant? I checked didn't see any evidence of a leak or anything.
Then this morning after returning from the gym I noticed it again and looked a little closer this time and noticed a small spot of antifreeze in the valley under the intake and it looks like it's coming from under the intake manifold.
When I bought the car used from a Ford dealer it was one of those recertified used cars and came with a 5year - 70,000 extended drivetrain warranty. I'm not sure what the problem is but would it be covered? I'm currently around 63K miles.
I have changed the overflow tank to a Canton aluminum tank last spring and run the stainless flex coolant hoses, should I put the stock parts back on before I take it in?
Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a 16lb vented radiator cap and a 16lb non-vented radiator cap?
