ok, so im gonna need a new clutch in m 02 GT soon, adn after some searhcign i have coem up with this:

im looking for either a mcleod, centerforce, or spec clutch.
pro's con's of each, adn do they sell a whole kit (disc, pressure plate, alignment tool) for my 02 GT, and where can i get them?

not loking to spend a LOT of money on it (im also going with a fidanza aluminum flywheel) and hoping i will get it as part of a christmas gift

right now im making over 360rwtq, and i def. plan on making much more, so i need room to grow

thanks guys!

I am running a little over 400rwhp and have a spec stage 1 in my car. the pedal is HEAVY as crap! And it chatters.
If you had the $$ to spend, I would go w/ the twin disk mcleod, it is smooth as butter and light.
But I'm saving for the centerforce clutch. They move the piviot points on the pressure plate so you still get a lot of clamping force, without the crazy pedal pressure.

So here's one vote for centerforce

a guy in our mustang club has a spec stage 1 and it was a lighter pedal than my stock clutch.. maybe your cable is binding.

I have a Mcleod stage 2 set and very happy with it. Of course I'm not even close to your HP numbers but just giving positive feed back on the brand.

Got it from Maximum Motorsports. They have some good clutch info on their site.

Everything on my car is new so I doubt the cable is binding. It was converted from an auto. Trust me I've been all through it several times. I wish it was just a binding cable.

I got the spec stage 2 w/ spec alum flywheel. The clutch is about the same heaviness as the stock one. Its like an on/off switch, either it will act normal, or it will shock the crap out of your drivetrain. Makes street driving a little hard, but its my DD.

Spec Stage 2, w/ram billit steel flywheel, steeda cable, firewall adjuster, and quadrant no issues little closer engagement than stock but you really don't notice unless your looking for it.

One of my friends was nice enough to let me drive his
mustang with a Centerforce DF clutch and all I could say is wow!
The Centerforce DF clutch grabs very well and the feel is
excellent.I have a Centerforce DF clutch and throwout bearing
on my floor right next to me I'm just waiting for some free time
to install it I can't wait.
Go Centerforce you will not be sorry it's a great clutch for the money.
