I was just wondering what some of your opinions are. I'm thinking about getting Full Length headers but I already bought some Shorty Unequal headers. What do you think would be better? Also for the Full Length do you need to install them from under the car? Thanks for your help.

i think that l/t give you more all around hp and trq(don't forget about the torque) and shortys tend to give up on the upper end. about the install, never done one, so i guess others will have to answer this question.
PS: keep in mind, if you go with l/t you will need another mid-pipe

i got mac lt's and the plugs arent any harder to install than either of the shorty headers ive had. the lt's have a great sound but arent as loud. there was a bit more pickup with the lt's but it coulda been more of a mental thing for me. they werent that hard to install but shorties are easier i think.

i've heard that changing plugs on the e/l is a bitch, how true is that??
There not really that bad. Just use a U-Joint socket adapter to get the angle and try doing it when the headers are cool cuz you will burn yourself working next to them. The thing with equilengths is the install and removal. Oh yeah and burned plug boots if you don't protect them. My A/C line used to rub too before I had that bent out of the way.

Cool My dad was saying I should get L/T cuz it will give me more torque at lower RPM's. That's what I'm looking for right now I lug in the lower RPM because I still have the stock gears in :( that's going to change soon too LOL. Next task it to sell the unequal shortys LOL to buy some L/T :D and the O/R H-Pipe to connect the L/T's hehe.

There you go :nice:

longtubes really arnt too bad of an install, one side goes in from the bottom and the other goes in from the top and you will have to loosen the engine mount and raise the engine a couple inches for one side but other than that its easy and you will love them when u get them in. if you get l/t's i'd recommend BBK because the single piece flange makes it a lot easier to line up and dont forget to get a good gasket and trash the one that comes with the headers

I had to pretty much remove all of my accessories..jack the engine up pull it over...oh and i also put both of mine in from the top...had to remove the master cylinder and everything..but then again mine are larger than others...there was no way either of mine would go in through the bottom...so my situation doesnt really apply just thought i would add a thought.
