All of a sudden, my car "sounds" like its got a monster cam in it..... everytime you start it, it wil do this for about 30 seconds to sometimes a minute or so....then all of a sudden, it will idle up a little and run smooth as glass. Anysuggestions? It doesnt matter if its hot or cold, everytime you start it it does this.

See the "Surging Idle Checklist for help with all your idle/stall problems.

The quick and easy way to dump the codes is in there too, and all you need to do it is a paper clip! The first two posts contain all the fixes & updates. At last count there were 24 possible causes and fixes for surging idle/stall problems. I continue to update it as more people post fixes or ask questions.

Well, bought a new IAC, still does it. trying to get the bugs out of this befor the blower goes on. . . its NOT surging, just sounds like a prostock cam...LOL which "sounds" good, but it aint cool....hahahaaa
When it is sounding like a pro-stocker, its kinda running rich too. Then it will idle up a tad, then run as smooth as glass. Done went over the entire thing again, still doing this, TPS is where it needs to be....I had a 93 convertible back in the day that done this too, never did figure out what was wrong with it.. . . finally, the torque boxes ripped out of it and destroyed the car at 120mph. Yea i know, that has nothing to do with the torque boxes, but it makes for a cool story...
