spark plug gap

tried searching and all i can find is forced induction stuff i just acquired an 89 5.0HO thats bone stock down to the air silencer and haven't changed the plugs yet. i replaced the cap, rotor, wires, and now want to change the plugs im using autolite platinums and wann know wat the gap should be? and sorry for the dumb question

well autolite said .54 gap so after tearing my knuckles apart the car is done and is running way better with a much smoother idle hope autolite is right cuz i aint yanking that crap out agian cuz that left side is a pain
 
Gap is right, but I wouldn't run platniums in a 5.0. They tend to idle smoother, but also tend to be more prone to detonation as well.

Copper motor crafts are a better choice.
