Ok guys it looks like Ill be checking my sparkplugs tomorrow and I figured Id put some new ones in while they're out. I tried using search but for some reason its not working on my computer. :notnice:

So my question is, what are the best sparkplugs for car with my setup? Also what are they to gapped at? I remember when I installed the mongoose kit the plugs were supposed to be gapped at a certain spec but I can't remember what it was.

Thanks

PS: I get my car back tomorrow so I'll have lots of pics, it looks mean as hell with the new parts. :D

NGK is a kick ass company. Go with TR6's or BR7EF's. The BR7s are 2 steps colder, the TR6's are 1 step colder. I don't want to chance detonation, so I run the BR7's gapped at .033 . You can gap them between .030-.035 and you'll be fine. Make sure the engine is cold when you remove them. Torque the new ones to 13lbs. Try not to use anti-seize. If you insist, use VERY little amounts.

Still gonna run DRs?

LOL I haven't decided yet. I'm running the DRs I wrecked on right now, kind of bad luck but at the same time I’m wearing the bad luck off of them. :nice:

I think I’m going to buy another set of rims and mount all street tires on them, so when I will be traveling further than 20-30mins away I'll throw those on. The thing is I don’t travel any further than Fort Wayne unless I’m going to race or in this case getting the car tuned so its not like if I would get caught in rain I couldn't just leave the car where its at if I’m on the DRs.

We'll see I guess, just glad to have her back and running.

By the way I picked up TR6s because nobody carries the BR7s but I got BR7s on order. Three of the sparkplugs were fried and putting all new sparkplugs in really made a difference and cleared up the problem it was having. I think it might have toasted them when my MAF was freaking out causing everything to go lean then rich over and over.
