Hey, heres a problem that I've been going crazy with for the last 3 weeks. Every since I relocated the battery (I THINK THAT THIS IS WHEN, NOT TOO SURE), my speakers pop and distort once in a while. Basically what happens is that when the speakers pop/and or distort, all of a sudden there is an engine whine with RPMs. Then it just goes away. The speakers will pop/distort for under 2 main conditions; 1) when I rev up the engine(doesnt matter if its at stand still or rolling) or 2) if I hit pot holes. The speakers dont do this all the time. Ex: When I got in my car after work, I reved up the engine and the speakers distorted and I heard the engine whine. I started driving home and over bumps the noise continued sometimes, then all of a sudden it would stop. I drove the rest of the way home with no problems. Sometimes however the speakers will keep distorting and I'll have to shut my radio off and leave it off with the hopes of it working better the next day. The things that I tired to do to repair this problem are: Re-run new RCA cables and speaker wires to the amp, changed the head unit, replaced amp, ran new power wires to the radio (constant and memory), and replaced the ground. I am not tied in to the old harness in any way and still im getting this problem. PLEASE HELP ME BECAUSE IM GETTING VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THIS BECAUSE I'VE BASICALLY HIT A WALL...crapola

Add more grounds. When you move the battery to the back all sorts of problems arise, mainly from grounds not making good contact or needing to add a extra ground up front, also sounds like a loose connection somewhere

its grounded to the body. But I dont think that its the amp because the noise comes only out the front speakers. All 4 front speakers (2 dash and 2 door).

So the front speakers aren't wired to the amp then I assume. Then try running a new ground wire for youre deck and check that the outer metal of the rca's aren't touching something else. Also check for a screw or something run through a speaker wire. I had the exact problem when I accidently ran a trim screw through a tweeter wire, caused bad noise through the whole system.
