Speakers?

My stang currently only has the 2 door speakers in it, it was like that when I bought it. I'm thinking about buying 6 new speakers for it sometime soon.
The dash uses 3.5s, the doors use 6.5s and the rear uses 6x8s right?

What brands are you guys using? I'm not sure what to get, I want something reasonably priced that sounds good.

those are the correct sizes. i have polk momo components with 975watt polk momo amp. dome tweeters in the dash 6.5s in door but you need a 3/4 inch spacer cuz the magnets are huge. and 6.5s in the back with 6by8 adapter plates. rear dome tweeters are up by the hooks near the metal plate an rear window. they sound amazing. and for the price its prolly the best for the money. that amp is 93watts rms for each channel i believe. thats alot more then a heaunit puttin a max of 23watts per channel. guess it all depends on how much your looking at spending. i say go for this setup its amazing.

yeah dont by 3.5 speaks for the dash, buy your self a nice set of components for the front , and mount your tweeters in the dash, make sure you hide the crossovers under the dash not in your door or they will get wet and break.
In the back you can just put any 5x7 or 6x8's you want, usually your rear speakers are just for rear fill you should be listening to your front speakers.

If your looking for low cost high value Clif Design speakers are the way to go, If you looking for high cost the world is your oyster.

well Clif Design was a company that started with high end product/ material that was made over seas. then pyrmid baught them or someone like that but dont get scared away its still manufactured at the same spot. I buy them off ebay now, but when I used to install stereo's our distributor would charge us about double than what you can buy them for now. All the coax speaker have pivoting tweeters so you can aim them, and I have never seen a set blow (Note, you need to have the right power going to them, if your speakers are distorting or have a chitty amp signal, they will blow.) anyway the Older stuff looked a bit cooler but the new stuff seems to work just as good, I have them in my explorer and my mustang.

All the magnets on the speakers are over kill and I think thats another reason why they work so well. IMO they sound better than any Infinity speaker

I looked into those, they look really nice and I'm thinking about getting them and a 4 channel amp pushing 100 watts to them along with 6x8s in the rear

sounds good, Just make sure when you run wires to your amp that your rund the power wires up one side and the RCA's up the other, that will limit the possiblity of getting frequency distortion.

You should have a loud , clean sounding car then

I would ditch the rear speakers and get a sub. It will sound much better.

I probably will eventually I just want to get my 6 speakers done first because I've only had 2 since I bought it
