"They were stock E7's off a 94 GT. They have been milled .030 of an inch to bring the compression up to almost 10to1. May ping some on 87octane especially with the AC on because of them being iron. as far as porting the themactor bumps have been removed, both intake and exhaust valve guides have been blended in the bowls and all ports have been gasket matched on the intake and exhaust side. They also have ARP head bolts. As far as flow numbers they have never been flowed."

The guy i purchased the car from gave me this info for my heads. How does the job sound and specs sound? Seems pretty good to me with the compression up to that. Also, now knowing the specs of my heads, what kind of semi-accurate hp estimate do you guys think i am putting out with the mods listed in my sig?

(I copy and pasted the whole email.)

Sounds like nearly the same job I did to my E7TE heads, although 10:1 CR sounds a little high with only .030 mill. I'd guess it closer to about 9.6:1. Other than that it sounds pretty good. I’d run premium any way and about 14* of timing to boot. I didn't go quite a gasket match on the exhaust side (I cut them in a "D" shape) in order to control exhaust pulse reversion, to maximize my low lift flow figures and keep my torque curve as high and fat as possible at lower RPM. But depending on what else you've got done to the car, it may not be that big of an issue. I also polished the chambers and performed a 5-angle valve job to the seats which I think helped tremendously as well. Back you your mods, I think you're probably putting out a pretty realistic 250fwhp or so. Now it's time to get working on that lower intake! :nice:

Yeah, i am going to buy intake next, in the next week or two. I am thinking either cobra intake, gt-40, or trick flow. What intake are you running?

Also, i do not know how to change the timing, how is this accomplished. I always hear it, now i wanna know how to do it.

To tell you the truth, I'm not running any of those intakes; I'm running a modified welded/ported upper and lower intake, which I did myself, as well. It's a cheap alternative to the Cobra and flows damn near as well. More than enough for a set of ported stock or GT-40 heads. If you're not confident enough in your abilities to do it yourself, you may want to PM tmoss in this forum. He's got himself a nice little side business going, doing these for quite a reasonable price when you compare it to the cost of the aftermarket. Not only that, but it still looks stock too. As for the timing adjust, it's late at night, so I'll just direct you to a link that will explain it to you. Check out #6
