Friend is doing a explorer intake and GT40P (GT40)head swap not sure on the heads yet because its a 96 explorer engine and some of them had the GT40s instead of the P heads , thinking about going with cam or 1.7s ....car is going to be spraying 125 shot , C4 with 3.73s but will be changing out to 4.30s to run eigth mile .......

looking at crane cams 2020

int/exh dur at .050 208/216 adv 262/270 lobe sep 112 gross lift .530/.530

the 2030 looks ok too but the car is an automatic and the duration on the 2030 is larger .....

either going with this or 1.7 rockers, will the 2020 cause the need to flycut the pistons because of the GT40P heads , if the are the GT40s I think it should clear ....but Ps have shorter deck height I think ...correct me if I am wrong .....

the crower 15511 is a excellent sd cam.

comp cams nx264hr is also a great one. I used it it and it was nice.

no idle issues with the Crower ??? seems like the duration is a bit large for SD set up ......218/224 @.050 adv 278/282 lift .468/.486???

just found out the explorer motor does have the regular GT40 heads on it ....
