You probably won't see much gains with that cam with stock H/I. That cam is like .469 intake and .499 exhaust (stock is .444 on both). If you want to add lift get some 1.7RR's which will add about .30 lift. The RR's might help out becuase it's a litte smoother than the standard rockers and alot easier to change. The stock heads are the biggest block of air flow on a 5.0.

Little off on my numbers, they seem to run almost $300 for just the cam.--->Cams with mileage and power.

The Crower 15510 cam is a littel milder and also a good SD cam. There are others that are proven SD cams too, like the Crane 2030, 2031; Comp Cams XE270 (the one with 114* lobe centers),etc.

Just stay at less than 220* duration @ .050" lift and keep lobe centers at 112-114*.

Any idea on how much lift the stock 5.0 87GT motor can take with Windsor Jr heads? I called Crane cams and they said basically the only cam that they have which will work on SD is the Powermax 2020.

The only thing that sucks is I just bought 1.7RR's and he said I would probably have to much lift for the piston to valve clearance. The Jr's have 1.94 intake valves and .600 lift springs so the heads have no issues. And I know you should always check the piston to valve clearance anyways but just was wondering if I need to look for new rockers before I start the swap.

Cam phasing (installed ICL), lift and valve train install/geometry play a BIG part in the clearance for a given head, and as you said - there is only one way to tell - MEASURE IT.

You may have issues due to the 1.94/1.60(?) valves. For a most informative read on cam phasing and valve train geometry, spend some time at and print out the pages at:
