71 in a 40.......Well I took the stang out for the first time in about a week or 2 and open stretch of 2 lane road so I get on it 1st/2nd/3rd only for about 5 seconds and I see a cop when Im doing 80, slammed on the brakes he still got me at 71.

The part that really pisses me off is he saw my school ID and I told him I was going to be a cop, Im going to the NYPD in june, and this guy did not cut me a break at all. He acted all cool and **** like he was going to give me a break then just ****ing nails it to me. I hate local cops so much they just sit around here hiding behind trees nailing people for speeding tickets when theres drugs all over the place. Well thats the end of my rant, I hate ****ing local cops.

Im guessing its going to be a $500+ ticket, this ruins my whole week....

I go out in the county when I do that, at least the speed limit is 50 out there. You should get a radar detector, even a really nice one is cheaper than your fatty ticket

You will understand why cops do what they do when you become one.

Don't know about where you're from, but here in Iowa going 31mph over the speed limit gets your license suspended for 6 months. I think 20mph+ gets you SR-22 insurance for 2 years, and it's either 25 or 30mph+ is an automatic suspension. So you might wanna check your local laws cuz if they are close to what they are here, you may have just cost yourself that job at the NYPD.. no license means no job.. unless they choose to get you out of the ticket.

i had court about a week ago for a speeding ticket.(texas)
55 zone and i was going 75 and he said i was going faster but i sold down to 75.

He's telling the truth either way i got off by just paying the fine (176.00) and a 30 deff. so i have to slow it down for a while before i get another one...

the funning thing is the cop said the dooche bag in the focus behind me was going faster(well the one tring to catch up)

lesson learned

Were you in NY?

I got pulled over last week doing 63 in a 40. (In New Jersey) Showed him my PBA card. Got off with a warning but he kept my card! (New York PBA card)

No offense, but why should the cop give you a break if you were becoming a cop? Hell my dad is retired NYPD and I got his badge (wallet) and PBA and rarely use it, its about professional courtesy. I'm not a cop, and neither are you... Sorry if I come as an a**hole, but it annoys me when people use their neighbor's uncle's cousin's best friend who was in the academy to get out of a ticket.
And you want to talk about bad cops? Come to Staten Island, they have NOTHING to do so every single little thing is a summonse no matter what. Everybody around here hates them. So, yea, I do feel your pain (getting pinned while not really hurting anyine).

I know in GA you'd be riding a bike for 6 months to a year. 25+ is an automatic suspension.

lol i got pulled over for 85+ in a 55 zone twice and got warning both times lol good thing i know all the cops around here and even if they did give me a tickct the judge would throw it out (perks to him being a family friend!!!)

last time i got a ticket it was in my 92 civic 1.5 5spd and the cop said i left a stop light spinning tires but the light was green so i wasnt ever stopped. Plus he had a new police and said he had it floored and barelt caught me LOLgood thing he didnt have time to clock me cause i was running 90 in a 45 That ticket got throw out also

nah I have a good lawyer almost all the time they plea bargain so you dont go to trail even without a lawyer i wouldnt get the max penality, with a lawyer i will get no points but a big fine. Maybe its just how it is up here.

I'd rather snitch than become a cop. ...Hmmm... Well, I guess I could be a dirty cop now that I think about it... Not that I'm a bad guy or anything, its just that being honest is so damn boring

What about motorcycle cops?

I'm pretty much in the same boat, but I still can't imagine why anyone would want to be a motorcycle cop. All you do is write tickets, and down here they always sit in the most useless areas. It just doesn't line up with any of the reasons I want to be a cop.

I know no fewer than 4 people who have lost their licenses or gotten strict restrictions along with probation for 25+. What you have to understand is these are people under 30 and in atlanta there might as well not even be a speed limit because everyone does 85+ anyway.

If you dont have a badge yet ur not a cop.....and anyway if u are going to the academy in june you should be using your head a little bit more then u are and watching everything you do.....when i was in the academy IL state police would sit down by the academy and bang recruits that were speeding it was an automatic call to your PD, and usually a bye bye your done....we had a new guy get stopped in a undercover blazer on his way down there by some PD, he never told anyone well they ran the blazer's plate and found out...big time trouble....you got to play it cool till u get off probation man....

Obviously you need better brakes...

But seriously, i know how you feel, I had 5-6 driving infractions on my record for the longest time. I had a really bad case of lead footitis and i have bad luck. I've been busted for doing 25 over but that was the most. But by the end of December I will have a clean record. One comes off and another in June? Either way... keep your foot out of it...especially if your on any type of probation.
