Can I just get this kit?

The 7 tooth gear is located inside the trans, so unless you need to change to a 7 tooth gear the first kit will do.

What year is your t5?

If it's an '89 T5, it'll already have a 7-tooth drivegear so a 21-tooth speedo gear will correct the speedo readings with 3.73 axle gears (assuming you have 25.7" tires).

SOB, I already ordered the whole kit with both gears... Oh well.
