Speedo Issues

'91 LX 5.0 speedo needle shakes and is 20mph higher than actual, any suggestions?

The speedo gear one the end of the speed sensor could be bad, if not that check the speedo cable. If not that the speedo could be bad.

Sounds like your gears have been replaced and someone did not switch the speedo gear. It also sounds like the speedo gear that is in there is worn.

I would pull it out and check.
