When I bought my 70' mustang coupe, i pulled the dash out and the gauges..the ribbon was corroded and i was missing the speedocable...i dont know what the size of my rear end is but most likely it's stock, the wheels are 245/50/16..and the front are 205/50/14...is it likely i can get an inaccurate reading by putting on a stock speedocable?

You want to use the sock speedo cable for your car. What you need to find out is your rear end gear ratio and then you can get the correct speedo gear. The gear is what will make your speedo correct/wrong, not the cable itself.
