Speedometer Gear

I purchasing a 89 5.0 GT on Friday and it needs a new speedometer gear. It has 4.10 gears and I was wondering if anyone knew the correct number of teeth it needs to get it working? Please get back to me asap.

depends on 5-speed or auto which gear...can't do 4.10's perfect

Normally it would matter if it was auto or manual but with 4.10's it doesn't. You will need the 23 tooth gear. You can buy it at any jeep dealer.

No you still need the 23 tooth gear. With the 8 tooth drive gear(used 90-95 mustangs) the speedo is hard to correct with just a gear. The only way to get it right is change the drive gear to 7(stock for 83-89 and tremecs) and go from there
