I have an 04 281SC convertible with the speedster package. Now the way I understand it, the speedster package is the fiberglass painted cover over the back two seats. This has a shorter "lightbar" built into it. Were the bolted in light bars part of the package too? I don't have the sticker in front of me but I think it was something like $2,400,......am I missing something? Saleen sells them for far less now. One of the other threads here mentions the latter.

Need some hlp, thanks,

The Speedster Package consisted of the hard tonneau cover & the light bar.

You have the anniversary speedster package. They don't even sell it separately anymore. Yes the standard tonnoue is a lot cheaper.

You also got the wires ran to plug in the speedster cover with the "handle"

OK, so let me get this straight. My speedster package should have come with the bolt in light bar and the fiberglass tonneau cover (which has the lower handle/bar built into it????

Thanks,

Your lightbar and tonneau should be one piece. In 04 and on the SA20's they are one piece.

Picture of the 99-03 speedster package. Tonneau cover one piece, style bar a seperate item:

Picture of the anniversary tonneau on the SA20 and all the 04 model speedsters:

Not the best picture of the anniverssry tonneau, but if that's the one you have, you know what it looks like......

Here's a pic of the SA20 version...

(It spends more time off the car than on it.)

You can't see to good with it on there. There is a tiny space you can look through.

OK, thank you all. I wish i got an 03 since the cover and bar are seperate pieces. I love the light bar but think the tonneau cover looks too bulky...that's why it sits in my basement, never installed.

Thanks again!

Chuck was thinking about installing the older style lightbar and tonneau cover. You could do the same think and try to sell the anniversay tonneau!! Just a thought as the anniversay one would be useless once the permanent style bar is installed......
