spindle problems?

i'm having a problem getting the spindle to go onto the ball joint of the upper control arm, it seems no matter how i twist or what angle i turn the spindle it want go on. the spindle is hitting the end of the control arm and it want allow the ball joint to line up straight to drop on any clues?

Move the upper arm up or down to allow alignment.
