Has anyone tried to make the tri-bar spinners on their wheels more theft-resistant?

When I ordered them, I was thinking they would bolt on somehow. I'm not very comfortable with their ease of removal...

(if this has been covered already, please point me in the right direction... I did several searches, and didn't find anything....)

I've seen a thread or two discussing ways of securing the plastic Ford knock-off's. Personally I was never able to make the solution work properly. I ended up selling my Ford knock-off's and purchasing a set of BRS Parts aftermarket knockoff's. They're chromed aluminum instead of plastic and do secure to the inside of the wheel. They cost $139 plus the cost of the center caps but, and I think this is cool, I could easily change the center caps and periodically change the look of my wheels.

Get some .041" safety wire and wire them up like real knock-off spinners. That will, at least, slow them down.

Looks good but genuine Ford pony spinners are much cheaper.

true... its just too bad Ford designed them so a four year old child could pull them off.
