I'm really on the fence about a new spoiler, I am really considering a black GT500 style wing, but i'm worried that it will look over the top on my car (with the blackout panel.

The other options im considering are a tungsten wing, or a black GT style spoiler.

Any feedback is welcome.

Pics of the ride right now would help.

I'm going to put a GT500 spoiler on mine color matched so I dunno if that's any help.

GT500 spoiler or any ducktail type spoiler would look great on your car.

Can I vote none of the above? CDC Ducktail spoiler w/ 3rd brake light delete FTW.

Hmm try a black spoiler and to pain the bottom part of your bumper and sideskirts black.

I like the GT500 style spolier so I'll go for that.

See pic for reference (orange part)

Yes go with the GT500. I think it's far better than the GT spoiler.

Voted Tungsten GT500
If you go GT500-go painted to match.
If you stay OEM-then you could go black.

It still amazes me(just yesterday as I was taking more pics of mine)how great the rear looks with the G500 spoiler It might be getting to the point of being overdone now, but, IMO, it is the best style for the S197!

Ok, i'm glad you guys talked me out of getting a black GT500 wing. I think i'll go with the tungsten. Now i'm torn with doing the suspension first suspension or cosmetic mods....

I like the Roush 3-piece - and definitely lower it first.

If you want to go cheap and easy do like I did and buy Roush rear lowering springs for less then 100 bucks you can't beat how the car looks that way.

If'n it was me, I'd remove the spoiler and fill the holes; then again, I'm a minimalist. Drove 400 miles to get a new 2008 w/ absolutely no options and spoiler-delete.

Also drove a car for 10 years w/ no radio or A/C. Yes, many people laugh at me.

I don't know how you drive a car without A/C. Last year we had 2 weeks straight of 100*+ weather. Not looking forward to it again.

Walter thanks for the pics! I remember your ride now. Looks real good. I think I want to go lower though.

I am going to take my spoiler off, I think a lowered car without a spoiler looks awesome...reminds me of a new version of the old fox body notch backs.....which reminds me anyone happen to have a vista blue trunk lid without holes in it that they want to get rid of?

Thanks I'd imagine it would look more to your liking if I also had the Matching front springs.

I did it mostly for comfort and looks though performance was a pleasant side effect of this admittedly "cosmetic" alteration.
