So today I finally finished the last details of the nitrous intall (minus purge routing) and then filled up the bottle and went for a little test drive. The first time I wasn't very impressed, but that was because the I turned it on too late and really wasn't spraying til the middle/top of 2nd. Not really ideal for performance or SOTP feeling. Then I turned it on as soon as I hit 2nd and what a difference! Blows the tires off going into 3rd and pulls MUCH harder than I expected straight through the gears. I'm stoked to get some track times, install the fuel pump, and then step up to a bigger nitrous jet size. Right now there is a 75HP jet in the car, 100/125HP soon to be tested.

I'm also going to be installing a GT40 upper and lower soon, about the same time as the bigger fuel pump and bigger nitrous jets go in. After all that, what do you guys think I'll be running time wise. (The 1/4th mile guesses weren't really the point of this thread, but might as well ask while I'm at it.)

(As a sidenote, I'm not sure I'm going to be able to afford to fill the bottles that I KNOW I'll be going through lol)

Nitrous is also in my near future. I have a 255lph pump going in soon. Just have to get a day off work/school so I can get it installed. Once I get my tranny situation under control nitrous is definitely coming.

.....well be advise i would make a 100 jet your max anything else and it takes a big toll on components but i really didn't look at your mods for the short block so maybe dont even take into consideration what im writing lol:SNSign:

I think the first time I got sprayed something was in love, but it was that stinky skunk that was in love with me. :D

Seriously, that's great to hear you like it so much. :nice:

I was just so surprised how strong it felt. I've driven in cars that were putting down 310-325HP to the wheels that didn't feel like mine did on juice. Maybe it's a positive bias on my part, but I'm not going to complain! I suppose the true test will be getting some official track times and comparing those before I start talking about how much stronger my car feels than others.

thats the difference between power and torque. the torque increase is insane. i know someone who put down 490 torque in his 93 bolt on cobra with a 150 dry shot. i will be going to the dyno within a week or two to get some numbers on the jucie. im also gettting upper and lower control arms and subframes and hope to get down in the 1.5-1.6 60' range. looking for 11's on the bottle.
