www.mustangworld.com under tech articles or somehting thats what i used.... but don't take off the front brakes like they say theres a little bracket behind the shock that you'll see holds the brake line up against the frame, just unbolt that and it will allow enough slack on the brake line for you to pull the shock out of the wheel well... i found a stern kick got all four springs out once you took all the load off possible, i'm not talkin about no sissy kick like layin on the ground and putting your weight into it good luck
yeah but you still hafta do all that other stuff too, so it's just esier to kick the old ones out and the new springs will go in easy cus they're shorter
Not to argue with you, but I would say that it depends on how high you can jack your car up. I tried it once and my rotors were hitting the ground and the rear springs weren't budging. It all depends on circumstances I'd say.

I've got two of each, but not the hydraulic type, rather the Craftsman 2 1/2 ton jacks. The best jacking point I've found s the bottom of the rear strut brace, but guess what? When replacing the struts, this wouldn't be advisable!
I would say, in your driveway, with 2 jacks and stands, a bunch of hand tools, a Chilton's or Haynes book, a 12 pack of beer, the usual unexpected unforgiving rusty bolt, about five hours if you take your time. It's just tedious, grunt type work.
