I am replacing my stock suspension with new Ford stock shocks/struts.I was also considering changing the spring isolators while I'm at it.The rubber Ford insolators are still available but I was considering the Energy Suspension ones which are made of polyurethane.A comfortable ride is important to me.Would the Energy ones somewhat compromise the ride?

I personally doubt it. The ones you have now are probably kinda shot, and the difference in the durometer rating between the stock isolator and poly shouldnt be all that great.

I think of the isolators as being more for noise (spring groan) than plushness in terms of the ride.

Just MHO.

I replaced the ones in my 84 with stock OEM, and the ones in my vert with poly. I can honestly not tell the difference.

Replaced mine with poly too. No complaints.

thats what I got. The whole kit, shipped for $40 from jegs.

I have the Ford Isolators up Front and some MM Polys in the rear.

ES polys in the rear, no isolators in the front.

ride is much better than with my stock worn springs and isolators. also the rear has a lot more cushion than the front of the car, but it is still not harsh at all up front

Thanks for the input.Sounds like they don't affect ride quality compared to new rubber isolators and should last longer.So,I'll plan to get the polyurethane ones.
