Well i am gonna lower my car soon. I am curious as to which springs actually lower the car the most. I have heard that it will be eibach, but then i would need to run the 87-93 shocks for an improved ride b/c of the shorter shocks etc. Is this true. Also will the springs help with the nosedive my car takes when i hit the brakes. I also know that the car is not gonna tranfer weight like it used to, so i am gonna purchase a set of Lower control arms (still researching which ones) So options from you guys are very welcome, along with prices. Was gonna get some springs this week, but waterpump is taking a crap on me. So i have to get that done, and while the front of the engine is torn down i am gonna have my Brackets powdercoated(or painted). So is there anything else i should do while i have the Waterpump off?

Thanks to all for looking and greater thanks to those who reply :hail2:

i have bbk uca/lca and i am happy with them, very little hop. $300 at summitracing. i also have intrax springs, about a 2" drop. i love the look and the ride is still ok (ie-not too stiff). here is how it looks:

If you are gonna do control arms do uppers and lowers. I have had two friends torque boxes rip by using aftermarket lowers and stock uppers. These are occassional track cars. One is a 96 GT with very little mods and the other is a 93 Cobra with extensive mods. I was running stock uppers and lowers and leaving the line at 4500 to 5k and have had no problems in that area, even after switching to UPR uppers and lowers. The 96 I mentioned had the Jegsters lower control arms and stock uppers and leaves the line at 3500 to 4k and has had to have his torque boxes welded up. Just something to keep in mind on that situation.

Well your pump can come off w/o anything else taken off. The fan and coolant bottle would give you a little more space to work but is not nec. FYI loosen the pulley bolts while the belt is still tensioned.
MM controls arms are nice. I originally purchased some and I was missing a rubber bushing in the order so I just had my shop put on what they had in stock and they were Granatelli's and I am satisfied.
