Does anyone know what the factory spring rates are on a 99 GT?
What about the rates of aftermarket springs?
Which are progressive, and which are linear?
What spring rate will start to cause the suspension to bottom out on a pothole?
I'm looking to lower the car about 1.5", but want to maintain a smooth ride and keep the tires in contact with the ground as best I can. If you can't answer at least one of the questions I actually asked, please hold off and see what we all can learn. And please don't reply with anything like "just get eibachs" or anything of that nature.
Note: Chassis Engineering by Herb Adams is a very enlightening book when it comes to building your suspension.
